Mendeley - the software to get your mess in order

I just wanted to quickly take the chance of appraising the PDF organizer software called Mendeley. If you ever had the impression that you read a useful publication and either can't remember which one it was, where you found it or what the content was, www.mendeley.com is the ideal researcher aid.

This software is really for everyone, researcher or not, and it helps to

a) keep your PDFs in order, by alphabetically by author, or by importance or whichever you would like to classify them!
b) makes your PDF documents easily searchable for specific terms, phrases or key words. You can even add tags to your documents, annotate notes or highlight sections.
c) you can found groups, invite contacts and in no time you'll have a collaborative research network, where everyone can contribute with key texts, comments or help.
d) you can create bibliographies in seconds. No more manual bibliography entries! And no more unreliable websites which allow you to create your bibliographies online.
e) You can sync other libraries with Mendeley, e.g. if you used EndNote before, you can import your library to Mendeley and vice versa with a few clicks.

And if you sign up to Mendeley, remember to add me to your network!

Best,
Katja
